“I am not sure I can find the words to adequately portray what a perfect choice Tara is to capture your priceless memories. She is wonderfully talented, has a beautiful eye and will capture those perfect details and moments you will cherish forever.”
Think about coordinating without being too matchy. For families, my advice is for mom to find something she is comfortable and confident in and let that be your jumping off point! I encourage only one bold print then add in other subtle prints and solids for a nice contrast.
Families: Think about what helps your little one stay happy and comfortable. Photos can be stressful, but they don’t have to be! My approach to family photography is “let’s play!” All I ask is for you to bring your calm vibes and come ready and excited to play with your kids, I will take care of the rest! Other items to consider would be water, clean finger snacks and wipes for faces & boogies! Seniors, bring your cap, gown and any stoll, class ring or cords you want to show off! A bottle of champagne to pop is always fun and bringing a brush and lipstick for touch-ups is always a good idea!

Absolutely! Fun fact, before I became a wedding photographer, I was a kindergarten teacher! I use my knowledge of kiddos from my years spent in the classroom plus my own “mama of two boys” instincts and am pretty good at cracking even the toughest eggs out of their shells! I come ready with lots of games in mind to play to bring out personalities and can even shoot with a longer distance zoom lens to get great “close-up” photos even if your child is shy and wants their distance.
Yes and yes! I promise I will do my best to get to know your kiddos and read what their personality might respond best to. Is it a game of peek-a-boo, red light - green light, or maybe a twirl around on daddy’s shoulders. Maybe they want to stay close to mom, or really love holding hands with their big sister! We will play and encourage until those little inner lights start to shine!
We can either look into a studio option that might be open to rent to stay out of the weather, or just reschedule for a later date. I don’t over book clients for a reason- and that reason is so that I can stay flexible for things out of our control like reschedules for weather!
This is my specialty! I have spent countless hours and sessions working with people who aren’t “comfortable in front of the camera” and I promise I got you! I have tricks on how to place people to flatter their bodies in the best way while giving prompts to have you moving and playing so you hardly even remember you are being photographed! Just come with an open mind and I will do the rest! The best advice I can give is to take the photo! Your kids are growing by the minute and time is so fleeting! Don’t put photos off year after year because you aren’t comfortable. I promise- you will look back and regret not having those years captured.
